Artist statement
I have been working with precious metals for over 40 years. Both with jewelry and corpus and with lots of techniques, shapes and sizes.
In my work I constantly return to the organic three-dimensional line and the transitions between shapes. To me the use of the objects is intimately associated with the artistic experience of them. My works want to influence reality by enhancing the sense of awareness. In recent years my works have had a more political connotation expressing my thoughts on deforestation, plant blindness and biodiversity.
With my most resent work I return to a quiet, narrative storytelling. Focused on the line, the shapes and my deep feelings for plants and the landscape.
